Galena Campground is a great family friendly destination for camping, located conveniently next to Walmart and a short walk from the high school for the shuttle into Galena. The park offers a variety of activities such as mini golf, walking trails, and an arcade. The campground is well maintained and the bathrooms are always warm and clean. The sites are mostly back in and can be quite tight, but there is plenty of room for a picnic table, campfire, and chairs. There is a pool with a diving board, and a game room. The campground is close to Dubuque and Galena, and the Mississippi River Museum. Cell service is limited, but the campground is a great place for kids and dogs to run around.
