The sites were very spacious with plenty of room for our trailer and tow vehicle. The only downside was that there were no sewer hookups, but the campground does offer a pump-out service for a fee. All in all, a great place to stay with the family. Holiday Acres is an older campground located near Rockford, IL with a family-friendly atmosphere. The campground has a restaurant and bar, a pool, a game room, a mini-golf course, a hay ride, a big playground, and a store. There are no sewer hookups, but the campground does offer a pump-out service for a fee. The sites are spacious and grassy, with plenty of room for an RV and tow vehicle. There is a shallow river running through the campground, perfect for sitting in with a chair while the kids play, and a Kishwaukee River nearby for tubing and canoeing. The rates are reasonable and the staff is friendly. Activities for kids and adults are offered, including live bands.
