What others are saying about this campground
The campground on the Illinois River is a great place for a getaway. With 12 sites with electrical and water hookups, the campground is well-maintained and offers a great view of the river. There is a nature center and boat launch ramp nearby, and a swimming pool pass is available during the season. The campground host, Deb, is very nice and helpful, and the nearby downtown area offers a hardware store, dollar store, and several restaurants. There are also two playgrounds, picnic areas, and a walking trail for the kids. The Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge is only a short drive away, and the river is great for fishing freshwater drum. Be sure to call ahead for conditions in the spring, as the park can be subject to seasonal flooding.
