Spring Creek Campground in Montrose, IL is a well-maintained and simple campground. The campground is surrounded by beautiful woods, an open field, and a small pond, which provides a wonderful private setting. Although the highway and trains can be heard from site #2, this might not be a problem for some people. The sites are mostly wooded and offer a medium amount of room between them. Some sites have 50amp, while others just have 20 and 30. There are also two buddy site spots. The campground only offers electric hookups, but a few water spigots are available. If you need to dump your waste, there is a central dumping station upon exit. The campground has a nice playground in the middle and a pavilion with a fireplace where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The bathrooms are clean, and the showers have enjoyable water pressure, and they are all free. The campground is pet-friendly and looks very ADA accessible. The campsite is within a mile or so of I70, but it is reasonably quiet and not distracting. At $25 per night, this campground is a beautiful and convenient spot for an overnight stay.
