From The Campground

Kayak Morris Campground is a primitive tent camping site located on the sandy wooded shores of the Illinois River. The campground offers a beautiful setting in the woods and is adjacent to the I & M canal state park trail. The campground has no electrical hook-ups but offers a variety of hiking and biking trails and scenic overlooks that provide stunning views of the river and the surrounding landscape. Showers are available right at the Morris Swimming pool for only $2. The campground is only 1 hour from Chicago and 30min from most suburbs, making it most convenient to enjoy a day of kayaking on the water.
