Nauvoo Campground is a quaint and peaceful privately owned park located right downtown. It is owned by the Community of Christ and offers stunning views of the river. The sites are small and covered in pine needles, and there are lots of trees for shade. Electricity is available, but potable water is not. The campground includes showers, bathrooms, and a laundry room, although some of the machines may not work. The campground is very inexpensive and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Unfortunately, the campground is a bit rundown and in need of repairs. Trash needs to be picked up, grass needs to be cut, and roads need repair. There is no Wi-Fi or cable TV. Despite these issues, it is a great place to stay while visiting Nauvoo.
