This campground is a great place for families to enjoy a weekend away. It has two lakes, three ponds, and plenty of fishing opportunities. It is gated and has paved roads, making it a safe and secure environment. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as renting a paddle boat or canoe from the main office, swimming in the pool, and participating in events like bingo in the hall. On the weekends, they serve breakfast as well. Although the campground is family-oriented and has lots of fun to offer, getting there is not convenient off the highway and you have to travel over gravel dirt roads to get there. The staff is friendly and the sites are level, but the power supply for the sites is limited and the playground equipment is in need of replacement. The store is disorganized and overpriced, and the paddle boats are covered in weeds. Despite these drawbacks, this campground is still a great place for a family getaway.

Shady Lakes RV Resort is a private, gated property comprised of 72 lush acres that meander around sparkling, on-site ponds, and fishing lakes. They offer a variety of 342 RV sites, many of which offer direct access to the lakes, while others are serenely nestled among the trees. The property is located 24 miles South of Davenport, Iowa and 30 miles east of the Mississippi River. And in under 3 hours, you can enjoy metropolitan life in the cities of Chicago and Peoria!
