From The Campground

The Forest Preserves of Winnebago County provides three campgrounds for general public use. The campgrounds provide paved access roads, running water, electric hookups, restrooms, and dump stations. Sugar River Campground has 70 sites in the main campground and primitive sites on a first-come first-served basis. Seward Bluffs has 47 sites that can be reserved online, and Hononegah has sites on a first-come first-served basis. Organized youth group camping is available by reservation only. The campgrounds are located in beautiful forest preserves and offer a variety of activities for visitors.
