Pittsfield City Park Campground is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet. Located in the middle of nowhere, this heavily wooded campground is full of activities and amenities. There are two loops with playgrounds for the kids, electric pedestals, water, and a dump station. The lake is beautiful and the perfect spot for fishing, biking, and hiking. There are also basketball courts, soccer fields, and a disc golf course. The showers and restrooms are clean and well maintained. Theres a friendly ranger on site and a mailbox to leave the $15 fee (cash only). The locals are friendly and welcoming, and its a great spot to spend the night while visiting family. Dont follow Google directions to get here, just go in to Pittsfield on US 54 and follow the signs.
