Located on the outskirts of Rantoul, IL, Prairie Pines Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained city park on the old Chanute AFB. It offers very spacious and level sites with full hookups and plenty of trees. The park features a small playground and a couple of swingsets for children, as well as paved roads perfect for bike riding. The laundry facilities and showers are in the same building which is very convenient. The park is quiet, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is close to plenty of amenities, including grocery shopping and sports complexes, with quick interstate access. Although not much to do in the immediate area, Champaign is only 20 minutes away and offers plenty of entertainment options. Overall, Prairie Pines Campground is an excellent spot to relax and unwind.

From The Campground
Prairie Pines Campground is a great place for family fun and relaxation. It features 95 lots, each with hookups for water, sewage and electric. The campground is open from April to October 31 with handicap accessible restroom, shower, and laundry facilities available during peak season. Tent camping is not allowed. Monthly rentals are available. Water, sewage and electric are included in the fees.
