This small, privately owned campground is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close enough to enjoy the amenities of nearby towns. The owner, Mr. Jim, is incredibly friendly and helpful and lives in a silo or feed bin that his family converted into a house, which is a unique and interesting feature. There are only twelve sites at this campground, all of which have full hookups and are fully shaded. Each campsite also comes with a picnic table and fire pit, and free firewood is provided by the host. The campground also has a gazebo with swings for relaxing. Most of the campers are workers for the refinery nearby, but there are only two long-term sites. Mr. Jim is just a text or phone call away and is always willing to help. While youre there, make sure to look for the sign to buy the eggs - they are some of the best brown eggs youll ever have!
