Blackhawk Valley Campground is a fairly large and easy-to-access RV campground located on the outskirts of Rockford, IL. The campground features a variety of large pull-thru sites with full hookups, many of which are shaded by hickory and walnut trees. The center of the campground includes an office and camp store, mini-golf course, and a small pavilion that can be used for events and picnics. A small section of transient campsites is available, and the campground also features on-site access to a nice bike path. Guests have reported that the resort is always well maintained and check-in is easy. The sites are spacious, with plenty of room between campsites, and the campground is quiet. This beautiful campground is situated right on the shore of the Kishwaukee River, surrounded by trees and sprawling green lawns, so it feels like a true camping experience.
