This campground is the perfect place for family gatherings and getaways with friends. It is located in the Winnebago County Forest Preserve System, and is a short hike from a shelter house along the river. There are many 30 amp electric sites, as well as large, secluded sites with privacy. Bikers can take an easy trail to Rockton, where the Dairyhäus offers delicious homemade ice cream. There are also good places to eat in Rockton and Jessicas restaurant for breakfast. Visitors should be aware that out of county visitors are charged an extra $10. There is no bath house, but there are pit toilets and a water fill and dump station. Other activities include volleyball, horseshoes, a playground and a baseball diamond. There is also no alcohol prohibition, making it a great deal for the money.
