What others are saying about this campground
Bo Wood Campground is a well-maintained Army Corps of Engineers park located on Lake Shelbyville in central Illinois. It offers a variety of camping spots, including full hook-up sites, electric-only sites, and tent camping sites, all of which are spread out and offer plenty of shade from the summer sun. Bo Wood also features a boat ramp and parking, a dog run, and a playground. The campground is full of mature Northern Oak trees, giving it a rust-red fall foliage. The nearby town of Sullivan offers amenities for groceries and dining out. AT&T and Verizon service are both available, and wifi is accessible from AT&T FMCA hotspots. Bo Wood is a great place to camp for a long weekend or for a few weeks, as it offers plenty of activities such as fishing, boating, theatre, hiking, and Amish country sightseeing. The campground is currently undergoing a large renovation, and is expected to reopen in mid-2007.
