Thomson Causeway Campground is a great spot for RVers and tent campers alike, offering beautiful scenery, close proximity to the Mississippi River, and plenty of activities to keep you busy. The sites are spacious and level, with electric hookups and plenty of shade. The campground is also surrounded by the Mississippi River and its backwaters, so you can enjoy the views and wildlife. The nearby Mississippi Pallisades state park offers stunning views of the river from up on the bluffs. There are also plenty of amenities, such as a boat ramp, playgrounds, a shelter house, and drinking water. However, the bug situation can be a bit much, so be sure to bring bug spray and a screened canopy if you want to enjoy the outdoors without swatting bugs all the time.
