The Evening Star Campground is a great place for families and groups to stay. It offers level, shaded sites with AT&T/Sprint/Verizon cell service and lots of off the air channels. The campground is located near an Illinois fish hatchery and conservation areas for birding, making it perfect for nature lovers. There are tons of activities for kids, including a swimming pool, mini golf, hayrides, and an old-fashioned fire truck ride. The campground is also a great place for groups, as it has a huge enclosed banquet facility for rallies and meetings. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were so bad that some campers had to rinse their clothing and shower to get rid of the smell. Despite this, the campground is kept clean and the price quoted is the nightly Passport America rate.
