Percival Springs Airport Campground in Watson, IL, is a quiet campground located next to a small grass strip airport where the local emergency helicopter is stationed. The campsites are flat and offer full hookups, and there is plenty of space between sites. The owner and host are accommodating and helpful. There are several pull-through spots at this campground. The park is well-lit at night and has picnic tables in nearby trees. Many long-term residents at this campground, but there are several sites specifically for travelers. Despite being adjacent to an airport, there were no noise or nuisance issues during our stay. The airport saw some activity during our visit, including two helicopters and a small plane. However, it was not disruptive. Overall, Percival Springs Airport Campground is a nice, clean, and quiet place to stay, and we would recommend it to others.

Percival Springs Campground is a 24-site campground located at the edge of Percival Springs Airport in rural Effingham County, Illinois. The campground offers full hook-ups with both 30 and 50 amp service, and overnight pull-through sites that can accommodate the longest rig. It is conveniently located eight minutes away from Interstate 57, or 15 minutes from Interstate 70. The campground is quietly nestled just off US HiWay 45, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for campers.
