The park offers hiking trails, historic sites, boat rentals, and a beach volleyball court that all visitors would enjoy. There are a couple of shower houses and a well-stocked store with friendly staff. However, some of the restrooms are outdated and not well-maintained. The campsites are a bit close together in some areas, making it feel cramped. Moreover, the drinking water has high mineral content and can be off-colored, but a camp-wide water fill station is available. AT&T service is spotty, so dont rely on cell service when staying here. Rangers are always available and helpful during your stay, and quiet hours are not often enforced. Overall, this is a beautiful park with many activities to enjoy, but it could use some updates in certain areas.

Chain O' Lakes State Park Campground is a small boater's paradise located in lake country. The campground offers 331 electric sites, 49 non-electric sites, 33 primitive sites, 4 rally campsites, 4 canoe campsites, and 5 youth tent areas. Visitors can enjoy hiking on 23 miles of forested trails, fishing on one of the 13 kettle lakes, boating on the electric-motors-only lakes, and swimming at the beach. Other facilities available for visitors to enjoy include picnic shelters, a nature center, and a historic one-room Stanley Schoolhouse.
