The campsites are a bit close together in some areas, making it feel cramped. Rangers are always available and helpful during your stay, and quiet hours are not often enforced. Overall, this is a beautiful park with many activities to enjoy, but it could use some updates in certain areas.

Chain O' Lakes State Park Campground is a small boater's paradise located in lake country. The campground offers 331 electric sites, 49 non-electric sites, 33 primitive sites, 4 rally campsites, 4 canoe campsites, and 5 youth tent areas. Visitors can enjoy hiking on 23 miles of forested trails, fishing on one of the 13 kettle lakes, boating on the electric-motors-only lakes, and swimming at the beach. Other facilities available for visitors to enjoy include picnic shelters, a nature center, and a historic one-room Stanley Schoolhouse.
