Patoka Lake Campground is a beautiful Indiana State Park located in the Newton-Stewart State Recreation Area. It offers a wide variety of campsites, from open circles in open areas to more private sites along ridges. The only downside is that the sites are close together and can be noisy on weekends due to large groups taking over an area. There is also no WiFi available, and the roads leading to the park are windy and hilly, making it difficult for those prone to car sickness.

Patoka Lake Campground is located in the Patoka Lake State Recreation Area, which covers 25,800 acres and includes an 8,800-acre lake. The campground offers 455 electric sites and 45 primitive sites, as well as amenities such as an archery range, disc golf course, hiking and biking trails, and interpretive and recreational programs. The lake provides habitat for freshwater jellyfish, bald eagles, river otters, and osprey. The property is also home to the Patoka Lake Raptor Center, which features a non-releasable bald eagle and other inhabitants. The campground is located just south of the historic towns of French Lick and West Baden, and just east of historic Jasper.
