GenieSummary

This campground is a great spot for a weekend getaway or a longer stay. It is situated near Louisville KY, and is close to Fuzzy Zoellers Covered Bridge GC. It has spacious drive-in spots, decent bathrooms, and family-friendly cabins. The comfort station closest to the sites is clean and well-maintained. The campground has a large horse campground, and the regular electric campground is well-spaced and not crowded. There is a swimming beach a good distance away, and the lake is perfect for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. The sites are decently sized, but the park itself could use some improvements. The gate staff are helpful and friendly, and the Lake View trail is a good and tough hike. Bring your own mattress if staying in a cabin, and bring your own antibacterial hand soap. Be aware that the campground is often closed for one reason or another, so keep up with the news.

From The Campground

Deam Lake offers recreational activities such as fishing, boating, swimming, camping, picnicking, hiking and hunting in designated areas. The 194-acre lake was constructed in 1965 and was named in honor of Charles Deam, Indiana's first state forester.
