From The Campground
Jackson-Washington State Forest is a beautiful forest area in Indiana that offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors. The forest has five lakes that are open for fishing, and all have been stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and channel catfish. Hunting is also allowed in the forest for white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, eastern wild turkey, rabbit, quail, dove, squirrel, fox, coyote, and raccoon. The forest also has an archery range, picnic areas, and a variety of hiking trails ranging from easy to rugged. There are also 12.2 miles of mountain bike trails and 13.9 miles of horse trails. Horseback riding is permitted only on designated bridle trails.
