Elkhart Campground is a well-kept-up campground with very accommodating owners. The majority of the campers are long-term with a section dedicated to short term stays. The park is undergoing updates and renovations, and while there are some ongoing construction projects, most guests seem to appreciate the improvements being made. The grounds are quiet and beautiful, with lots of care and effort being put into maintaining the landscaping and facilities. The park offers pull-through sites that are big enough for fifth wheel and truck. Some reviewers noted that the campsites were level and easy to set up, while others had issues with sewer drains going uphill, making it difficult to dump tanks. The shower houses could use some additional cleaning. On weekends, some guests reported that there was loud music coming from the rec room, which detracted from the peaceful atmosphere. Another issue that arose was the noise from the nearby road. While some reviewers appreciated the easy access to the highway, others noted that it was quite noisy. Despite these small issues, most campers had a positive experience and would be happy to stay at Elkhart Campground again.
