What others are saying about this campground
The park has a BMX track, a huge swimming pool/water park with slides and several other outdoor activities. There are Chalets to rent, Shelters, and for a big crowd the Discovery Lodge. The Burdette walking trail is about 3 miles long, not a lot of shade but very well laid out. There are also practice Wednesdays and races on Fridays per schedule. The RV park sites are very close together, with very little privacy, although some of the primitive sites have a lot of privacy. The park is far enough off the major roads so there is no traffic noise, but it is only a short 10-15 minute drive to historic downtown Evansville. There is a very nice paved walking trail and a BMX track along with several other activities. There is also a pool, mini golf, hiking cabins and so much more. The campground is a bit cramped and the hookups are mis-placed, and it is generally older and somewhat seedy. The county really needs to clean the campground up and evict some of the “Walt and Jessie” RV’s. It is a great value for full hookup to see the local sights, but it is extremely difficult to find. Burdette Park is a great campground located in Evansville, Indiana. It is close to everything you need but far enough away to be in the country. The campground has paved roads, 20, 30 and 50 amp service at each spot, paved sites, plenty of room between sites, a large pool area with slides and other activities such as basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, a BMX track, a 3 mile paved walking/bike trail, lodges, and a mini golf course. The campground is a great stopover point for passing through Evansville and the manager is the absolute best. It is also very quiet and private, and the water park is huge and beautiful.
