This campground is located in the heart of an Amish community and is a great place to break up a long trip from Illinois to New York. It offers grassy sites with many large shade trees and plenty of permanent and weekend campers. The campground has water and electric hookups, playgrounds, a swimming hole, and fishing ponds. On Saturday nights, they have a big kettle corn operation that is very popular. Unfortunately, the bathrooms are not well maintained and the water is smelly and hard. The wooden bridge is also unsafe to walk across. However, the nearby town of Berne is home to a large Mennonite church, a unique Glockenspiel, a fountain playground, and a band shell that is soon to be finished and dedicated. Every Saturday, there are arts and crafts, activities for adults and kids, bingo, wagon rides, and free kettle corn.
