From The Campground
Hickory Ridge Horsecamp is a primitive campground located in the Hoosier National Forest. It is designed for horse camping, but any National Forest visitor is welcome to camp at no cost. The campground has no designated sites, but has a capacity of 20 horse trailers. Accessible vault toilets, hitching racks, and water for livestock are provided. Day use parking is also available. The campground is open year-round and is a trailhead for much of the 46 mile Hickory Ridge Trail. There are some fire rings and grills available, but no corrals or sleeping shelters. Hitching rails and an accessible loading ramp are available. Water for horses is also available. The campground is not reservable and there are no size restrictions. Accessible tables, fire rings, walkways, and horse loading ramp are available. There are no discounts available. Reviews are not provided.
