What others are saying about this campground
The Monon Trail Grounds at the Indiana State Fairgrounds is a great place to stay for a quick overnight, especially when other RV campgrounds are full. Located near the center of Indianapolis, this campground offers easy access to all of the citys sites and attractions. However, the entrance is not clearly marked and the campground itself is essentially a grassy pad right next to the road and a bike trail, with no privacy. There are walk-in and vehicle entry gates in the fence behind the campground, and the bathroom and shower facilities are clean. Sites are extremely narrow, and the fire rings are often full of cigarette butts and other debris. There is 50 amps at every site and the area is brightly lit at night. Be aware that planes fly overhead and there is a lot of traffic along 38th Street.
