This campground is a great place to relax and enjoy a weekend away. Located on the east side of Bixler Lake in Kendallville, Indiana, it is part of a large municipal park and offers a variety of amenities. The campsites are large, level, and well-maintained, and the lake and park provide plenty of opportunities for walking, hiking, biking, fishing, disc golf, and swimming. Unfortunately, there is no sewer hookup, but a dump station is available. The campground is quiet and peaceful, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The campground is not suitable for large rigs due to the narrow streets, but once inside, the sites are large and randomly placed. There is a bike/walking trail around the entire lake, and the nearby city of Kendallville is close to Big Turkey Lake and the Amish area of Shipshewana. Be aware that there is a major railroad that runs through Kendallville, so train sounds can be heard throughout the campground.
