Clifty Falls State Park is an incredible destination for campers looking to explore nature and relax. This 1300 acre park features a 425 million-year-old limestone canyon carved out during the ice age, and offers panoramic views of the nearby historical town of Madison and the Ohio River Valley. The park amenities include a campground with 106 electric and 59 primitive sites with potable water and dump station, a seasonal nature center with Interpretive Naturalist, a seasonal outdoor aquatic center, hiking trials and more. The electric sites have 30 amp service, restroom and bathhouse facilities, and a picnic table and fire ring. Non-electric sites are also available, and all sites have plenty of space for tents and games. There are also two playgrounds for kids and a nature center with educational programs. The park also has a tunnel that was supposed to be a railroad, which is interesting to walk through, but make sure to bring a flashlight. The park is close to Madison, IN, which has a couple of wineries and restaurants, and a great place to walk along the Ohio River. There is also a heated bathroom with flush toilet and shower, a pool with a slide and diving boards, and over 12 miles of hiking trails with waterfalls and caves. Clifty Falls State Park is the perfect spot to take a break and unwind from everyday life, and is a great destination for hikers, campers, and nature lovers.

Clifty Falls State Park Campground is located in the rugged splendor of Clifty Canyon, offering exciting year-round hiking and scenery. The park's waterfalls change moods with the weather and the seasons and can range from roaring plunges to delicate bridal-veil mists to gleaming frozen titans. The campground offers 106 electric sites and 63 non-electric sites, as well as youth tent areas. Amenities include a swimming pool with waterslide, shelters, meeting and conference facilities, and a nature center with interpretive naturalist services. Activities include hiking trails, the Four Falls Hiking Challenge, picnicking, tennis and other games, and fossil collecting in nearby locations. Discounts may be available during special events in the community, such as the July Regatta hydroplane boat race or the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art in late September.
