Dunewood Campground is a peaceful, secluded campground located near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. It offers stunning views of Lake Michigan and challenging hikes on the sandunes. The campground is close to Michigan City and the small Village of Beverly Shores, which has a restaurant, camp store, gas station, ice cream, firewood, beach supplies and food trucks. There are no hookups, but there are water pumps throughout the campground and free showers. The sites are spacious and have fire rings, grills and picnic tables. Reservations are required and there is a digital registration station for after hours. The campground can be noisy due to nearby trains and highways, and there are lots of mosquitoes, so insect spray and mosquito netting is recommended. There is also a 24-hour Walmart nearby if you need emergency supplies.

From The Campground
Dunewood Campground is located in Indiana Dunes National Park and offers 67 campsites for RVs and tents. The campground has restrooms and showers, but no electric or water hookups at individual sites. The campground does have a RV dump station. Lake View Beach on Lake Michigan is located 1.5 miles north of the campground. The campground is open from April 1 through November 1. Reservations can be made in advance at www.recreation.gov. Discounts are available for Senior Annual, Senior Lifetime, and Access Passes.
