This campground is located in a very nice area with lots of tall trees and shade. The grass is well-maintained, and new gravel has been laid down. The electric box has some bare wires hanging out of it, and the host speculated it was because someone had cut off the 50 amp connection. The sewer is buried under some tall grass, and fairly far to the front of the site. The camp manager, Charlie, is very accommodating and helpful. The owners are nice people and prefer if you call 30 minutes before you arrive, so they can be there to meet you. Unfortunately, the nightly rate is too high given the condition of the utilities and the park in general. There are no amenities, but it is very convenient to Ball State University and the town of Muncie.

Big Oak Campground is a safe, clean park that offers year-round camping in Muncie, Indiana. The campground offers nightly, weekly, monthly, seasonal, and year-round camping options, as well as rental housing for workers or families looking to live at Big Oak full time. The sites are spacious and most of the other RVs are permanent, making for a quiet stay.
