Westwood Campground is a great place to go for a quiet camping experience. The campground is small, with 33-38 campsites, and is first come first serve. The campsites are a bit small, but provide enough space for two cars. The lake is not swimable, but is great for fishing, kayaking, and boating with trolling motors only. There are also a few nice trails, some horse trails, and nice picnic areas. The entire day ark and campground are clean and well maintained, with a clean shower house and small playground area for the kids. The only drawback is the no reservation policy, so if you want to weekend camp, you better plan on setting up your site on Wednesday or Thursday.

Westwood Park is a year-round public park in New Castle, Indiana that offers a variety of recreational activities. The park features a small modern campground that is open from May through October, with excellent fishing for bass, sunfish, crappie, and channel catfish. Other day-use activities include picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, a horse trail, shelter house, and play field. Some facilities are handicapped accessible. The park is home to various types of wildlife that are present in the various habitats, and hiking trails, the horse trail, and mountain bike trail offer wonderful scenery of deciduous woodlands, abandoned grasslands, and rolling hills. Numerous species of trees native to Indiana may be found in the park.
