Delaney Park is a great family campground located 7.5 miles down a heavily wooded country road. With 2000 ft of elevation change, it provides a good challenge for all ages. The campground features well-marked trails, maps at the gate, and nice cabins. There is plenty of room for tents or gazebos and each site has a firepit, picnic table, and thick grassy area. Boat docks, an outdoor pavilion, basketball court, beach, and swimming area are also available. There is no camp store, so be sure to bring all the supplies you need or make a 20 minute drive to Salem for stores and restaurants. The sites for RVs are concrete and you will need to level some on all of them. There is excellent cell service, but no WiFi. Our only complaint is that you can’t get near the water to fish due to the weeds.
