What others are saying about this campground
Wooster Bay State Park is a great place to camp and enjoy the outdoors. With a 741 acre reservoir, there is plenty to do with a beach, boat ramps, and many hiking trails. The campground offers electric sites with picnic tables and fire pits, as well as potable water spigots and several bathhouse facilities. The Wooster Bay primitive area allows campers to moor their boats overnight and includes a pit toilet and water pump. The park also offers an amphitheater with interpretive naturalist programs, an archery range, basketball courts, shelter houses, playgrounds, and a raptor display. The naturalists at the park host a very good talk on raptors and the park is the only DNR property in the state of Indiana with a raptor rehabilitation program. Unfortunately, the lake has become less clean in recent years and there is concern about drug use from local visitors. There are also no huge activities or nature sight seeing available, but it is still a great place to canoe, fish, and relax. Dogs are allowed, but not on the designated beach area.
