The Saddle Lake Trail Trailhead is located at the boat ramp and is a 2.2 mile hike around the lake. The campground is secluded and quiet, with dark nights and plenty of wildlife. It is a great spot for a weekend getaway or a longer camping trip.

Saddle Lake Recreation Area is a primitive campground located in the Hoosier National Forest. The campground offers 13 campsites with vault toilets and campfire grills. The lake is a small but excellent place to fish for panfish in southern Indiana. The site is deeply wooded and gives the feeling of being tucked in amongst the forest and hills. You will likely see many of the birds and animals that call the forest their home so bring your binoculars and tread softly!
