Des Moines West KOA Holiday in Adel, IA is a great place to stay for families with kids. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The sites are gravel and fairly level. All of them have full hookups with 50-amp service. The facilities are well taken care of and there are plenty of spaces to take your dog for a walk. The bathrooms are clean but a bit wet. There are lots of things for kids to do, including a jumping pillow. The location is perfect for easy access to the Des Moines metro area. At night, the campground is extremely quiet and the sky is visible, which is great for stargazing or listening to the sounds of the frogs. Overall, its a very nice KOA that is well worth the stay.
