What others are saying about this campground
Spruce Creek Park is a great place to camp on the shores of the Mississippi River, just north of Bellevue. This county park offers stunning views of the river, with turtles sunning themselves and fish jumping out of the river, as well as stunning sunrise and moon scapes. There is a marina and a great place to eat at Spruce Creek Restaurant. The park has two water spickets on the property, one on each side of the creek, so you will want to fill your tanks before going to your campsite. The sites are good sized, and have 30/50 amp electric, a dump station and non-potable water. The critters at night are pretty loud, sounds like a nature symphony. There are Canadian Pacific train tracks that run to the west of the park. Part of the park is reservable in advance and the other is first come-first serve. The nearby town of Bellevue has stores and anything else that might be needed. After Labor Day they were closing for renovation so next year they should be real nice. Theres fishing, exploring, a playground, and when you see a paddleboat you have time to drive to town before it hits loch & damn #12. Theres a butterfly 🦋 garden, hiking trails, a lookout where all 4 states are visible. This is a great place for nature lovers, with plenty of activities and amenities nearby.
