What others are saying
Scott County Parks is a great place to camp and enjoy the Mississippi River. The campground features a nice beach, playground, and boat launch. There are 17 riverview sites with concrete pads and 50 amp power, as well as shared water and no sewage. The campground is well patrolled by local, county and state police. The main restroom/shower building is the only one for the whole park, so it can get quite dirty during the day. There are plenty of bathrooms around and a convenient dump on the way out of the campground. The campground can get crowded on holiday weekends, with partying and boaters, but during weekdays it is peaceful and quiet. The waterfront sites were closed due to flooding when we stayed, but there were plenty of other sites available. The views of the river and barges are beautiful at night. Seniors receive a $1 discount per night. The maximum stay is 14 days.
