What others are saying about this campground
George Wyth State Park in Cedar Falls, IA is a great place for a biking adventure on its paved trails that connect to downtown Cedar Falls, or for a scenic river view from a non-electric site. The park was quiet and not too crowded with ample space between sites. Although there was no water hookup, the dump station was conveniently located near playgrounds and restrooms. Some parts of the park may be affected by maintenance budget cuts, but the area was generally clean, and the fire pits were free from debris. The bathrooms could use an upgrade but had good water pressure in the showers. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance, but the parks proximity to multiple lakes could be the cause. A nearby store provided easy access to water rentals, and the food at Diner 63 was outstanding and reasonably priced. Overall, George Wyth State Park still provides a lovely, fun camping experience.
