. This campground is a great place for families to get out and enjoy the outdoors. It offers a beautiful little lake with easy kayak access and a new beach for swimming. There are also hiking and nature trails, fire pits with grates for cooking, picnic tables, and restrooms/showers. The park is well maintained and provides free WiFi. It also has a museum for an enjoyable afternoon trip and a few cabins and shelters. Firewood is available for purchase and kayaks and paddleboats can be rented. The Boy Scouts also take over the park for council events.

From The Campground
The Central Park Nature Center is a free, come and go event that offers educational exhibits, displays, crafts, and activities that change monthly. Visitors can learn about the plants and animals that make the stream, wetlands, ponds, and lake at Central Park their home. The Nature Center is open during the work week from 8 AM - 4:30 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend.
