From The Campground

Geode State Park is a beautiful destination in southeast Iowa for outdoor recreation. Lake Geode is the focal point of the park, with more than 150 acres for fishing, boating and paddlesport activities. Visitors can hike a variety of trails at Geode, taking them around the lake and to several sites within the park. The campground features two modern shower buildings, a modern restroom, sewage dump station and two ADA accessible camp pads. One-fourth of the campsites are available for self-registration on a first-come, first-serve basis and advance campsite reservations can be made online through the online reservation system for Geode State Park. Reserve one of four open shelters for an outdoor gathering during your visit. The Beach Shelter is ADA accessible and several scenic picnic spots are available throughout the park.
