The well-maintained bathrooms and showers are a plus. The sites, which are mainly gravel, are mostly level and spacious with adequate distance between them. While there were limited options when reserving, its not surprising given how quickly campsites book up. Cellphone signal is strong, which is good to know for anyone who needs to stay connected during their stay. There are limited recycling options for cans and cardboard in two locations. Despite some noise during the day, the overall ambiance is peaceful and quiet at night. Decorah has many attractions, including Luther College, a beautiful campus and plenty of options for food and drink. Toppling Goliath, Vesterheim, and Pulpit Rock Brewery are all worth a visit!
