The campground is surrounded by great walking trails, a creek, and a small river for fishing. The sites are meticulously maintained with good size and level sites. There are standard RV sites with electric hookups, some electric tent sites, and primitive sites with fire rings and tables. The campground is well maintained with restrooms, showers, a recycling station, firewood available, and a campground host and resident park ranger onsite. Fishing is popular in the nearby Catfish Creek, which is stocked by the Iowa DNR. There is also a Swiss Valley Nature Center with trails. The only downside is the bath house has sulfites in the water, which can cause a bad smell.
