Shady Brook Camping & RV Adventures, LLC has mixed reviews. Its located about 3 miles down a gravel road, and some campers found the upper sites were not level and too tight for big rigs. Additionally, some reported that the power boxes were not properly placed, leading to damage for some campers equipment. However, others found the young guys managing the camp to be pleasant and the owner very hospitable. Some sites in the full hookup area were reportedly very unlevel and close together, with a neighbors sewer hose only two feet away. Overall, it may be a good option for construction workers but possibly not the best for those looking for peace and quiet camping.

From The Campground
Shady Brook Camping and RV Adventures offers a unique camping experience with Iowa's first ascending tree tents, campsites, cabins, and suspended tents. The campground is located in a beautiful Iowa landscape with year-round running Bear Creek. They offer special events, hunting, and are pet-friendly. All campsites can accommodate 45 Foot Camper/Trailer/RV, except site #'s 13, 15, 24, & 26. They only allow Iowa Department of Agriculture Local Approved Wood to be brought in to the campground. Hunting is NOT allowed during the open campground months. There is a pool on-site, but no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
