Plot Knob State Park is a great place for a family camping trip. It offers plenty of activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing, as well as a playground for the kids and an amazing sand bottom swimming pond surrounded by sand beach. The campground is heavily wooded and has 48 gravel and/or grass 30 amp electric sites, a dump station, playscape, 10 miles of hiking trails, and a firewood supply. The sites are not level, but they are equipped with electric, picnic tables, and fire rings. The shower house is clean and the showers are individual rooms with timed lights and motion sensors. The campground is also family friendly and quiet. It is conveniently located near the town of Forest City, a few miles from Lichtsinn RV, and close to The New Ulm Country Club, which is open to the public.
