Peters Park is a 73.3-acre recreational area located one mile east of Rodney, Iowa. It consists of three abandoned gravel pits that were developed for recreation and fishing. The combined 42 acres of water provide good fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. The park offers 49 camping pads, including three handicap accessible sites, a group area with electric and water, tent camping area, vault toilets, a two-room shower house, an open shelter house with electric and picnic tables, drinking water, a dump station, a basketball court, a swim beach, sand volleyball, a playground, and a 0.9-mile walking trail. A gravel boat ramp and boat dock, and ground/upright grills are also available. Full hook-up sites are $25.00 per night. Electrical sites are $20.00 per night. Non-electrical sites are $15.00 per night.
