Ida Grove Campground is a great spot for a pass-through overnight stay. Located right on Hwy 59, the campground offers many shaded sites with no physical separation between them. There is a path that goes around the campground, two play structures, a pond, and a veterans memorial. The campground is run on the honor system - no reservations, just show up and pay. Most sites are in a grassy field or have some gravel under the trees. Big rigs can enter half the campground but navigating the whole campground is not possible. There is good power, water, and a dump. The bath house is not updated and is somewhat dirty, but the rest of the park is a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale. Road noise can be heard when staying here, but it is usually quiet and never full. It is a great value and a nice park in the town of Ida Grove.
