From The Campground
Squirrel Hollow Park is a 56-acre county park in Greene, Iowa, developed in 1934. It is the second oldest county park in Iowa and is bordered on two sides by a 147-acre wildlife management area. The park offers camping, river fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and picnicking. The focal point of the park is a shelter house built on a bluff overlooking the North Raccoon River offering a scenic view of the river valley. The park has 20 electrical camping hookups, a concrete boat ramp, and a walking trail with footbridges. The park is open from April 1 to November 1.
