Kalona City Park Campground is a great place to stay for a night while traveling through an unpopulated area of Iowa. There is also a cheese factory and Amish stores in the area. Wi-Fi is not available, but there is a single dump station and air channels. Caseys nearby has the best pizza from any gas station. The price is right for passing through town.

The City of Kalona Campground offers 38 first-come, first-served campsites with water and electrical hook-ups. The campground is open from April 15 to October 15 and offers a dump station for $10 per use. The cost of camping is $20 per night per space. Pets are allowed on a leash and pet droppings must be properly disposed of. Checkout time is 1:00 PM. Wifi is available through Kalona Cooperative Telephone Company.
