Lake Sugema is a 579-acre lake located in Van Buren County, Iowa. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, channel catfish, walleye, red ear, and tigermusky. The campground offers a boat dock and trailer parking area with electric hookups, making it a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts. Additionally, the campground features a great hiking trail that leads all the way to popular Lacey-Keosauqua State Park. The area surrounding the lake has been purchased by the DNR and Van Buren County to be managed as a wildlife area, providing habitat for a variety of wild animals.
