Marion County Park is a great place to camp and explore the area. It offers 140 acres of outdoor activities, including a 7-acre fishing lake, campground with 100 graveled sites, modern restroom facilities, individual shower rooms, picnic shelters, playground equipment, basketball court, baseball and softball fields, and a historic village. Most of the campsites come with water & electric, and some with water, electric & sewer. The sites are long and mostly level, though some may require blocking up tires. The park is close to Knoxville Speedway and the Dutch community of Pella, and is just a short drive away from stores and restaurants. It is a great spot for families, with parks, a zip line swing, a pond for fishing, and areas to hike and bike. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the park is usually quiet, except for the occasional Sprint Car race. Rates are affordable, and seniors can get a discount with their America the Beautiful card.
